About The Jamber Foundation
The Jamber Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit expanding access for under-resourced middle and high school female basketball players through travel scholarships, exposure opportunities, and financial literacy education.
Founded by grassroots basketball leader Amber Johnson and built by former athletes, the Jamber Foundation was created to remove financial barriers and ensure opportunity and education reach those who need it most.
Closing the Gap Between Talent and Opportunity
Why We Exist.
Youth basketball has become increasingly expensive, placing opportunity out of reach for many families. Nearly two-thirds of families report that youth sports create significant financial strain—forcing talented athletes to sit out simply because of cost.
When access is tied to income, potential is left unrealized.

College scouts primarily recruit at national exposure tournaments and elite camps. These events are where scholarships are earned and futures are shaped—but many athletes never get the chance to attend.
Without access to these moments, talented players miss critical exposure that can change the trajectory of their athletic and academic careers.

Girls from under-resourced communities are far less likely to receive financial literacy education, limiting confidence, independence, and long-term stability.
Missed exposure and missed education create consequences that last well beyond basketball. We exist to remove these barriers and ensure talent—not income—determines opportunity.

Opportunity should not be reserved for those who can afford it. By creating access to competition, education, and support, we help young women build pathways to success on the court, in college, and beyond.
